Lincoln Social Services

Effective April 1st, 2020

Please be advised that while our services remain in place the hours have changed.
9 AM TO 12 PM (MONDAY - THURSDAY) PICK-UP SERVICES ONLY

St. Francis Food Pantry: We have temporarily suspended shoppers from self-selecting items and instead CSS staff will prepare pre-packed pantries. Those in need of food should call 402.327.6200. Requests are taken Monday through Thursday starting at 8 am. You will receive a pickup time the same day between 10 am and 12 pm. When you arrive at CSS, please call our receptionist at 402.474.1600 and someone will bring your order to you.

If you have any food allergies or any dietary or cultural restrictions please let us know when you place your request.

  • In addition, we will take calls from the elderly (65+) and the homebound on Tuesdays at 9 am. Same day delivery is provided.  The number to call for this service is 402.327.6200.

Catholic School Food Market: We will proceed with a modified schedule. Please check with your school regarding dates and times.

Emergency Services: CSS provides cash assistance to those struggling to pay rent, utilities, car repairs, and more. We take requests every Monday morning. The phone number is 402.327.6211 and the line opens at 9 am. Appointments are based on a weekly budget, however, in light of the coronavirus and its impact on our community, we are actively raising funds to increase our weekly budget. Walk-In Services: We provide diapers, baby formula, personal care items, adult diapers, and more to clients from 9 am to 12 pm, Monday through Thursday. While our front office door will remain locked, when you arrive at CSS please call our receptionist at 402.474.1600 to make your need known. A staff member or volunteer will bring the item(s) to you. St. Louise Gift & Thrift Store

Effective March 18th, 2020

St. Louise Gift & Thrift Store in Lincoln is now closed indefinitely. Please continue to watch this page, as well as the St. Louise Gift & Thrift Facebook page for details regarding our reopening. 

Please note: The following Lincoln locations are still accepting CLOTHING ONLY drop-off donations at our trailers (click the name for location details via Google Maps):

 PLEASE do not drop off other items at our back door.

In our ongoing efforts to protect the health of our employees and clients, CSS has suspended pickup and delivery of furniture in the Lincoln area indefinitely. 


Hastings

Hastings Social Services

As we continue to respond to the needs of our community,  the need for your donations is greater than ever. Please bring your non-perishable food donations as well as personal care items to our offices at 333 W. 2nd St. in Hastings, Monday through Friday from 9 am -  5 pm. Thank you for your generosity!

Effective April 6th, 2020

Catholic Social Services of Southern Nebraska in Hastings will remain open during our regular business hours.

  • Food Pantry/Recovery programs will temporarily suspend shoppers from self-selecting items. Instead, CSS staff and volunteers will prepare pre-packed pantries. Efforts will be made to deliver food to any home-bound clients. Redistribution to outlying food pantries will continue as scheduled.
  • Sandwich Program will continue as normal, with precautions in place to limit contact and spread.
  • Emergency Services (cash assistance for rent, utilities, car repairs, etc.) will continue to take place, with phone interviews replacing in-person appointments. Click here for additional information.

St. Joseph Gift & Thrift Store

Effective March 20th, 2020

St. Joseph Gift and Thrift Store in Hastings is now closed indefinitely. Please continue to watch this page, as well as the St. Joseph Gift & Thrift Facebook page for details regarding our reopening.

Please note- we will still be accepting donations:

  • Starting Monday, March 23rd, we will have a trailer in the parking lot for people to drop off all donations, not just clothing.
  • Pickup of furniture donations will continue. However, due to the necessary precautions, our drivers and volunteers will not be entering any homes or apartments until further notice.  All donations must be on a front porch or in a garage to try to limit any potential spread of the virus.

Auburn

Auburn Food Pantry will re-open Monday, March 23. The food pantry will be open from 10 am to 2 pm Monday through Thursday. CSS will temporarily suspend shoppers from self-selecting items and instead CSS staff will prepare pre-packed pantries. Those in need of food should call 402.327.6242. Requests are taken Monday through Thursday beginning at 9 am. You will receive a pickup time that same day between 10 am and 2 pm.  If you have any food allergies or any dietary or cultural restrictions please let us know when you place your request.  


Imperial

St. Isidore Gift & Thrift store is now closed indefinitely. Please continue to follow this webpage as well as the St. Isidore Gift & Thrift Facebook page for further updates.

 Help via Emergency Services is still being offered to southwest Nebraskans by calling Tonya at 402.327.6299.


Immaculate Heart of Mary Counseling Center

Effective March 23rd, 2020

The Immaculate Heart of Mary Counseling Center (IHMCC) has transitioned entirely to telehealth for counseling services at this time. The IHMCC staff is working to make this transition for clients as easy as possible and will be in communication with all current clients to assist in this process. Continuity in care is a priority and telehealth allows our agency to continue to meet our community's mental health needs while aligning with the community response to COVID-19. 

Our Loving Hearts & Little Feet group sessions have been postponed until further notice.
