Donation Dropoff/Pickup: Guidelines & Screening Form

URGENT NEED!

Currently, requests for furniture are running nearly double the usual demand- help us by donating these most needed items:

Bedroom Furniture: such as beds (sizes Queen, Full, and Single), chest of drawers, and nightstands
Living Room Furniture: such as couches, loveseats, coffee tables, end tables, and lamps
Kitchen tables and chairs

Thank you for your interest in donating items to Catholic Social Services of Southern Nebraska!

To better serve and uphold the dignity of our clients, we have established guidelines for our donation program and we ask that all potential donors of furniture or major appliances (dropoff or pickup) fill out this screening form. DROP OFFS MUST BE SCHEDULED VIA THIS SCREENING FORM. Clothing & household items may be brought to our Lincoln Gift & Thrift store (click here for more information). We appreciate your understanding and support!

Pickup guidelines and details:

  • Our pickup service is free of charge within the Lincoln city limits.
  • Outside of Lincoln city limits, there will be a $2 per mile charge, payable to our delivery drivers at the time of pickup (cash, check, or charge accepted). Our maximum pickup radius is 75 miles outside of Lincoln. Mileage is calculated from our offices at 2241 O St., Lincoln NE, 68510.  We will confirm the amount with you at the time of scheduling.
  • All items must be free of stains, tears, holes, odors, gouges, pet hair, broken parts, and heavy use.

  • Bookcases (wooden)
  • Box springs
  • Chest of drawers
  • Coffee tables
  • Couches (except for hide-a-beds and reclining sofas)
  • Countertop microwaves
  • Electric dryers
  • Electric stoves
  • End tables
  • Gliders
  • Kitchen carts/storage units/microwave carts
  • Kitchen chairs
  • Kitchen table and chairs
  • Lamps
  • Loveseats
  • Mattresses (Twin, Full, Queen sizes)
  • Metal bed frames (adjustable)

Item Photos

Multiple items in one photo are fine. Multiple files can be included on the Photo 1 field, up to 30 files max. To do this, Ctrl-click multiple files and drag them ALL onto the field at one time. Dragging and dropping some and then trying to add more will replace what's there instead of add to it. If you prefer to add your photos one by one you may do so (up to 5) using the Photo 1 through Photo 5 fields below.
